PuhSarang Church Kediri City

The Unique Church, Puh Sarang Church Kediri City, PuhSarang  The Old Church is located on Mount klotok Puhsarang, Slope of Mount Wilis, District of Semen, Kediri district, 6 km, ± 15 minutes from Kediri City.


Sign in to area Catholic Church Of Puhsarang, we are treated to the charming architectural style. In addition to strong touch of tradition, the Catholic Church  has also brought a modern style. So, besides seeing Mojopahitan style architecture, Java, Hinduism and Buddhism, we can also see the arc structure of wood, steel, charm, and tropical house technology.




Puh Sarang church was built in 1936 and has experienced several renovations. however, the original form of the church was still awake. Massive stone altar of the church which weighs seven tons and the ornate sculptures of deer, has a shape like an altar outside the stupa Borobudur.Church tower has a shape like CandiBentar, pavilion, gamelan device, the tabernacle with the design of the stone rolled away the stone, tomb, etc., we can still meet at the Puhsarang Church .

The forms that this is the work awesome Ir H Maclaine Pont (1884-1971), architect of Dutch nationality who were born in Meester Cornelis (Jatinegara). When he began designing this church, he didn't forget to include elements of local culture. Understandably, as architects, Pont had great admiration for the important sites in Java, one in Trowulan Mojopahit

Dolo waterfall


Dolo waterfall reside is in 1200 m height above sea level. It is about 20 km, 30 minutes from Kediri City. This is one of Kediri tourism objects that have interesting scenery. Wayang


Wayang is an Indonesian word for theatre (literally "shadow") When the term is used to refer to kinds of puppet theater, sometimes the puppet itself is referred to as wayang. ", the Javanese word for shadow or imagination, also connotes "spirit." Performances of shadow puppet theater are accompanied by gamelan in Java, and by "gender wayang" in Bali.
UNESCO designated Wayang Kulit, a shadow puppet theater and the best known of the Indonesian wayang, as a Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity on 7 November 2003. In return of the acknowledgment, UNESCO demanded Indonesia to preserve their heritage.
